Torre Antel – Montevideo, Uruguay
Torre de las Telecomunicaciones, or Torre Antel, is the tallest building in Uruguay and the headquarters of the country’s government-owned telecommunications company, ANTEL. Its distinctive profile includes 35 floors plus an antenna spire reaching 560 ft. (170 m) above Montevideo’s bay. A viewing floor on level 26 offers visitors a panoramic view of the nearby port as well as other areas of the city. The building was completed in 2002 as part of a telecommunications complex designed with a total of six buildings.
