Airport Approach Lighting Training

Offering detailed, component-level instruction on airport approach lighting installation and operation, SPX Aids to Navigation (AtoN) University training is unequaled in the industry. In addition to expert instruction, class participants receive reference manuals, copies of specifications, regulations and new product updates to help them stay abreast of aeronautical ground lighting (AGL) maintenance and standards.

Classes are held at the customerā€™s location. Class session times may vary but are typically scheduled with a morning session in the classroom and an afternoon session in the field. The afternoon session is spent inspecting the system, with the instructor guiding the class participants in the use of the skills and knowledge gained earlier that morning. Class size is typically limited to 15 participants per session.

AGL maintenance training gives your technicians an invaluable opportunity to become more familiar with aviation approach lighting systems, airfield lighting tools, ever-changing guidelines and time-saving techniques used to identify system requirements, ultimately saving your company significant time and money.
