SPX Aids to Navigation is issuing this product bulletin to inform customers, sales, technical support, and service teams of an update to the base configuration of the FTS 350i-2 LED beacon.

Based on valuable customer feedback, the FTS 350i-2 will no longer be available pre-terminated with a 50- foot pigtail. Instead, the new standard configuration includes:

• A 3-foot factory-installed pigtail
• A Junction Box (J-Box) kit included with each unit for simplified connections and grounding
• A Quick Start Guide (QSG) for easy installation

Benefits of the Updated Configuration:

1. Simplified Installation
   The shorter pigtail is easier to manage during installation.
2. Enhanced Grounding
   The Junction Box includes an additional grounding connector, improving resistance to static electricity and ensuring reliable grounding even on painted or coated surfaces.
3. Easier Maintenance
   If the light needs to be replaced, press-in connectors in the J-Box allow quick disconnection without disturbing existing cabling installs.

The updated FTS 350i-2 is now available under part number 12010879 – FTS 350i-2 Integrated LED Beacon Kit.
