Flash Technology Expands Latin American Operations

Product and Staffing Enhancements Offer Improved Service to Central and South America

Franklin, Tenn. (February 25, 2019) — Flash Technology, a global leader in aids-to-navigation solutions, announces a series of initiatives to better serve the Mexico and Latin America obstruction lighting markets.

In the summer of 2018, Cristina Cossío joined Flash Technology as a business development manager reporting to Gary Chiasson, director of international and airport sales. Based in Mexico City, Ms. Cossío will work to identify rising opportunities and build long-term relationships with current and prospective clients. Ms. Cossío collaborates with the Director General of Civil Aviation to understand DGAC lighting standards while providing expert insights into lighting products and regulatory compliance for clients.

In January 2019, Flash Technology began integrating the airport and obstruction business lines acquired from Carmanah Technologies Corporation. Adding durable, self-contained, solar-powered lights to our portfolio provides more options for clients in areas where grid power is not readably available.

“Having representation in Mexico supports our long-term growth while better serving new and existing clients in the region,” says Pete Bruce, vice president of channel management. “We are excited to have Ms. Cossío on board, and look forward to coming product enhancements utilizing both Flash and Carmanah technology. ”

Flash Technology also recently launched a Spanish website, www.flashtechnology.mx, featuring a suite of LED obstruction lighting systems and technical specifications. Translated versions of the manuals, diagrams and technical bulletins will be posted as they become available, to help engineers and tower technicians better install, operate and troubleshoot the obstacle lights.
