Flash Commits to John Deere Wind Energy

Franklin, Tenn. (June 18, 2009) — Flash Technology has committed to a multi-year agreement with John Deere Wind Energy. Flash will provide FAA lighting for wind turbines and MET towers, along with support services for John Deere’s wind farms.

Flash Technology’s developed the FTB 360i in response to customer interviews, which identified several unmet needs for wind turbine lighting. These interviews revealed the following needs for wind turbine lighting.

  • A tightly focused light beam
  • Status indicators to convey real-time operating information
  • An efficient, compact design for easy installation and longer life

The FTB 360i addresses each of these needs and offers exceptional operating performance compared to similar products currently on the market.

Marketplace reaction to the FTB 360i has been excellent. “Clients have embraced the FTB 360i to meet FAA regulatory compliance and manage liability risk at wind farms,” said Chris Carpenter, business development manager for Flash Technology’s wind energy lighting products. “In my five years at Flash Technology, our team has developed and released several innovative products. The FTB 360i is certainly one of the best aviation obstruction lights we have produced.”
